Spa & Hot Tub Tips
- First and foremost
always balance your water before you add EcoOne™ monthly. You
will only have to do this on a fresh or initial fill, then EcoOne™
will lock that balance in for 3-4 months.
- If you do not use
a pre filter or the clean water prep and your water is above 200 ppm
lower your pH to 6.8 or 7.0 using a pH down product (a liquid logic
minus is preferred).
- If your water
is really soft (some lake water etc) you may have to increase your pH
or add calcium to increase hardness. Look to our test strips to help
you out . We have 5 way strips that can tell you all you need to know.
- If your water
is excessively hard, we suggest using the EcoOne™ Pre Filter and
Cleanwater Prep™ to reduce your water hardness to approx 200 ppm.
- The enzymes in
EcoOne™ are accelerated by "air" being drawn into the
water. (keep air jets open during use of spa)
- You can enhance
the rate at which EcoOne™ performs by increasing the amount of
time your spa filters per day. If you notice that your spa is constantly
turning cloudy and/or has a slight odour, increase your filtration cycle.
(16 hours/day or F8 is preferred)
- Turn your filters
UP, so you can turn your sanitizer demand DOWN.
- pH: Do not fight
with your pH. It is common to have pH fluctuations after adding chemicals
and while EcoOne™ is decontaminating your spa. Let your jets run
and give it some time. 9 times out of 10, your pH will come back into
the 7.2-8.2 range on its own. (If it does drop out or increase just
adjust it and it will all come back naturally).
- Our EcoOne™
Fill Hose Pre-Filter removes or reduces these contaminants for up to
40,000 gallons.
